Arrived around 7:30 PM during dinner time, better to make a reservation before visiting, as the place is usually crowded every day. Perhaps due to the high number of customers, our food and drinks took almost an hour to be served. However, they were delicious and came in generous portions. My family especially enjoyed the Tom Yum Goong and Phad Phed Chicken, while my personal favourite was the Prawn Cake, I slightly regret not ordering more of it. The Lemon Tea and Peach Tea (in a jug) were also refreshing (I highly recommend the Peach Tea). The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our meal. Overall, although the food service was a bit slow and the dishes weren’t served piping hot, it was still an enjoyable dining experience for a family dinner.

One of the best Thai food at Amanjaya. This pork free restaurant can sit large group and therefore many families came. There is outdoor seating too. Food portion is large and very authentic Thai taste. Will always visit when at this area

It’s a good place to try out the Thai food in Kedah. Fresh fish, fresh meat and vegetables are the main dishes in here. We tried different food a few times and they were all exceptional. They opened late before noon. The inside of the cafe is a bit small but if you like the porch area. They have plenty of space. Recommend going there for the best price and food experience.

To book in advance to secure a nice table indoor. 1) Tomyam Foong is thick, spicy n sweet. The prawn size is big & fresh. 2) Otak-otak serve in standard size with mix of seafood (sotong, fish & prawn) ~ Not too spicy 3) Phat Phet Chicken if without chicken skin will be better. 4) Tamarind Egg - Half Fried Egg with sweet tamarind sauce & fried onion on top. 5) Steam clam with garlic and lemon - To ate as soon as delivered in order to avoid clam overcook. Taste good and appetising. Sour and spicy 6) Red Ruby - Bit sweet to my liking, but once the ice melt, it taste good. 7) Chilled Homecook Lemongrass - Healthy drink (not sweet) Total cost RM150++ for 4 pax.

Good Thai food, good portion and affordable. Ordered the tamarind egg, tanghoon (crystal vermicelli) and prawn, fried chicken in plum sauce, basil chicken and salted fish kailan. The hits are the tamarind egg, tanghoon and prawn and basil chicken. Tasted really good, very close to authentic Thai food. The tamarind egg was a great revelation. Together with the crispy fried shallots, it goes so well with white rice! Yummy... Simple fare, but the tangy, savory and yolky deep fried eggs is so just ooh la la. The tanghoon is also very appetising. Rich in taste and fragrant. Others were decent. Portion is generous for a Small sized dish. Service is welcoming but can be a little slow when it's crowded. Comfy atmosphere with air conditioning and open air space available. Will return again when in town.
